Nature of Issue: Unauthorized Charges

I had availed service for my Hyundai Creta (HR26FL8991) from the dealership on 31.10.2025. During review of the invoice, I observed that AC Disinfectant had been charged twice. Upon raising the issue, the dealership reviewed the matter, admitted the duplicate billing in writing and refunded the amount. I had also raised concerns regarding wheel alignment, as I do not recall authorizing this service and was unable to independently verify whether it was performed on my vehicle. The dealership subsequently refunded the wheel alignment charge as well. While the refund has been processed, my concerns regarding service transparency, customer authorization, billing controls and documentation remain unresolved. The wheel alignment report shared did not, in my view, provide sufficient vehicle-specific information to independently establish its linkage to my vehicle and service visit. I also remain concerned about the process through which duplicate charges passed multiple stages of invoicing and approval. Additionally, during servicing, engine oil was dispensed from bulk drums rather than sealed containers, and customers may not always be informed whether sealed packs or bulk oil are being used or provided a clear method to independently verify the grade and type of oil filled in their vehicle, raising concerns regarding transparency and informed customer consent. This complaint is being submitted not for refund, which has already been received, but for clarification, accountability and improvement of customer-facing processes to ensure transparency and prevent similar issues in future.
