General Information

What is IBBF?
IBBF (Indian Business Betterment Foundation) is an independent documentation platform that maintains public records of consumer complaints, reviews, business responses, and verification activities. The platform promotes transparency and accountability by preserving documented interactions between consumers and businesses. IBBF is registered as a Section 8 Public Company with no share capital.
Is filing a complaint free?
Yes. Filing a complaint on IBBF is currently free. If any platform or verification-related fees are introduced in the future, they will be clearly communicated in advance. There are no hidden charges.
Does IBBF resolve disputes between consumers and businesses?
IBBF does not investigate, adjudicate, mediate, or enforce outcomes. The platform exists to document records and provide a transparent channel for public responses.

Complaints & Reviews

Do I need to create an account to file a complaint?
In most cases, users can submit a complaint by providing the required information and contact details. A unique Complaint ID (IBBF-YEAR-XXXXX) is generated to track the complaint.
Will my personal information be visible publicly?
No. Personal contact details such as your email address or phone number are never publicly displayed. Complaints are identified using a reference ID to protect user privacy.
What happens after I submit a complaint?
Once submitted, your complaint may undergo moderation to ensure compliance with platform guidelines. The concerned business may be notified, and the complaint may be published on the business profile after review. You may receive updates on the status of your submission.
Can complaints or reviews be edited after submission?
Complaints and reviews are generally published as submitted after moderation. If revisions are required for compliance reasons, you may be asked to update your submission before publication.
What are documented complaints or reviews?
Documented complaints or reviews are submissions where supporting records such as invoices, receipts, or transaction evidence have been provided. Documentation provides additional context but does not determine the outcome of disputes.
Does IBBF verify every complaint or review?
IBBF reviews submissions for compliance with platform guidelines but does not independently verify every claim made by users. The platform provides transparency through documented records rather than adjudicating disputes.

Businesses

Can businesses respond to complaints or reviews?
Yes. Businesses may claim their profile and respond to complaints or reviews submitted on the platform. Each business is allowed one public response per complaint or review. Further communication may continue via IBBF's private back-channel. All responses are also subject to moderation.
What does "Verified Business" mean?
A Verified Business indicates that the business has completed the verification process and submitted certain information or documentation requested during review. Verification reflects completion of the review process and does not represent endorsement, certification, or guarantee of the business.
How can a business claim its profile?
A business may claim its profile by completing the verification process on the platform and providing the required information. Once approved, the business may manage certain aspects of its profile. Verification is triggered from the Business Dashboard, not at the listing stage.
Can a business request removal of a complaint or review?
Businesses may submit a request if they believe content violates platform guidelines or contains inaccurate information. Such requests are reviewed in accordance with the platform's moderation and takedown policies. Content is never permanently deleted, it may be archived from public view if found to violate guidelines.
