Verification & Trust Process Policy

How the IBBF verification process works, what verification fees cover, and how verification decisions are made.

Organization: Indian Business Betterment Foundation
Type: Public Policy Document
Applies To: All Users & Businesses
Last Updated: 25 May 2026
Section 1

Purpose

IBBF provides businesses with an optional verification process designed to improve transparency, profile authenticity, and public trust on the platform.

Business listing on IBBF is free. Verification is voluntary and is available to businesses that choose to participate in the verification process.

Verification helps establish that submitted business information and supporting documents have been reviewed through the IBBF verification workflow.

Section 2

Nature of the Verification Process

The verification process may include:

  • Document review and assessment
  • Business information validation
  • Communication with the business representative
  • Compliance and consistency checks
  • Additional clarification requests
  • Physical verification in certain cases, where considered necessary by IBBF

Verification requirements may vary depending on the type of business, available information, and verification scope.

Section 3

Verification Fees

Verification fees are charged for the review, assessment, processing, and administration of verification requests submitted by businesses.

Verification fees are not charged for public business listing or basic platform presence.

Payment of verification fees does not guarantee approval, verification status, trust level, or badge issuance.

Section 4

Verification Decisions

Verification requests may be approved, rejected, delayed, or placed under review based on the information available during the verification process.

IBBF may reject verification requests if:

  • Information is incomplete
  • Required documents are not provided
  • Information cannot be independently verified
  • Submitted details appear inconsistent or misleading
  • Additional clarification requests remain unanswered

Verification decisions are made according to platform review standards and available information.

Section 5

Re-Application

Businesses whose verification requests are rejected may reapply in the future.

A new verification request may require payment of applicable verification fees again.

Section 6

Trust Levels

Trust levels on IBBF are based on multiple factors, including participation, responsiveness, documentation practices, platform compliance, and verification status.

Trust levels are informational only and do not represent endorsement, certification, or guarantee of any business.

Verification fees do not determine or purchase trust levels.

Section 7

Platform Neutrality

IBBF operates as a neutral, non-government platform.

Verification reflects the outcome of the IBBF review process based on submitted information and available records. Verification does not guarantee business performance, service quality, future conduct, or customer outcomes.

IBBF is an independent, non-government platform documenting consumer experiences and business information. Content reflects user submissions and does not constitute legal advice, endorsement, or determination of fault or liability.
