Section 2

When a Business Receives a Review

When a review is published about a business:

  • IBBF notifies the business through the registered email address
  • The review becomes visible on the public business profile
  • The business may submit one official response to provide clarification or additional context
  • All responses are reviewed before publication
  • Reviews represent consumer statements and are not modified by IBBF
Section 3

How Businesses Can Respond

To respond to a review, a business must:

  • Sign in to the IBBF Business Dashboard
  • Open the review using the reference ID
  • Submit a professional response — one public response is allowed
  • Provide clarification or context related to the review

All responses are reviewed for policy and language compliance before publication.

Section 4

Review Response Process

A typical review response flow includes:

1
Business submits a response through the Business Dashboard
2
IBBF reviews the response for policy compliance
3
Approved response is published on the review page
4
The response becomes visible on the business profile

The purpose of a response is to provide context and transparency for the public record.

Section 5

If a Business Does Not Respond

If a business does not respond to a review:

  • The review remains published as submitted by the consumer
  • The business profile may show the status "Business Response Awaiting"
  • Public records reflect participation levels
  • IBBF does not require businesses to respond to reviews
Section 6

Professional Conduct

Businesses are encouraged to:

  • Respond clearly and respectfully
  • Avoid personal remarks or confrontational language
  • Focus on factual clarification
  • Provide helpful context where appropriate
Professional responses help build credibility and maintain your Trust Level on IBBF.
Section 7

Important Clarifications

  • IBBF does not modify consumer reviews
  • IBBF does not determine whether a review is correct or incorrect
  • Verification status does not affect review publication
  • Responses are published only after moderation review
  • Reviews remain part of the platform's documented public record
Section 8
