Consumer Tips

Always Ask for Documentation

Request receipts, invoices, and written confirmations for every transaction. A legitimate business will always provide these.

Verify Before You Trust

Check if a business is listed on IBBF and review its complaint history and trust level before making a purchase.

Do Not Act Under Pressure

Urgency-based tactics — "only today", "limited time", "act now" — are common warning signs. Take your time to verify.

Know Your Complaint ID

When you file a complaint on IBBF, save your Complaint ID (IBBF-YEAR-XXXXX). You will need it to track your complaint status.
